I am honestly struggling with what to say, I've never really been this far off other Steeltalk members opinions it seems, some of which I am normally totally in agreement with on a regular basis.
But ive never been one to shy away from voicing my thoughts in the face of popular opinion :wonder: So i have got to say that was one one the most enjoyable Steelers v Panthers games I can remember in recent times, it had tension and end to end play, touches of the niggle some super goals and a Steelers win... and we are top of the table and not by chance either...
Now I'm not blind to the obvious faults and areas the team can improve, far from it, but guys we keep finding a way to win and in some case win well within ourselves at a time when injuries could be seriously killing our season..

Can we not collectively remember the utter garbage served up to us under Paul Thompson! :hey:

I expect I will get flamed for this post. but I am a big boy now... I will roll with the punches... :hockey:

A very good 3rd period despite the poor refereeing. How Carr got away with that awful slash across Vally’s leg right in front of the Ref I don’t know. Especially when the 2nd Panthers goal came from a very weak slashing call against Sointu who wafted his stick one handed in front of the forward. Very poor.

I’m happy we’re doing enough to win the games. Keep it going and I agree with Jayboy a good game against an improved Panthers.

Surely the massive crowd proves that it isn't a nil rivalry.
May not be what it was , but personally I always enjoy beating that lot down the road.

Without wishing to criticise our 3rd period energy, I thought a few times in the first and second periods we looked like we were skating in treacle. I still can't decide if it was us just having a dip for a short while or if the Panthers were moving the puck about at pace and we were languishing.

I do think we were missing a bit of zip, one or two players seemed to be out of sorts early on.

Thought Armstrong had a decent enough game despite obviously running on fumes throughout.
He looks knackered.

Nottingham were much improved from previous meetings.
