The last of the 6 on the road away games.. won 2 lost 3 so far..
Its a brave fan that predicts a win, but we can do it if we play like we can, like that second game in Belfast!

Will we? Well thats what the Poll is for? What do you think? :wonder:

A tight game I reckon this one.

I've gone for a 3-2 OT win for Cardiff.

We owe them one for the 5-0 CC semi-final loss.

Let's hope we don't struggle against a good goalie like we did with Carr in Nottingham.

Will be a tough game, not sure how long their 2 d-men will be out (Mikkelson & McNulty) as they've been running with 4 for a while.

Hope we can bring that performance we put in against Belfast on the Saturday.

I've gone for Steelers OT win - I'll go 4-3.

Hopefully Mosey and Davey back, with the potential of Brust being available for one the weekend's games.

The trouble for me is that in the last few weeks we never know which team will turn up. if we play like we can (and should!) then a narrow win, but it could also be a 2 or 3 nil first period and we end up losing.

My prediction is therefore only a shaky, hopeful one of a 4-3 regulation win.

Win here against the odds? It's been done many times in the past and hopefully the same on Saturday.

If they are still running 4D and we have our injured back then we can take maximum points. But even short benched, Cardiff are still damn good. Just look at the Challenge Cup Final for example, they had 4D for that and still went to overtime.

A win here, ideally in regulation, will almost end the Devils title dreams. Let's do it!

Let's face facts Belfast will be getting 4 points from Nottingham gift wrapped this weekend.
anything less then 4 points from us this weekend then the proverbial fat lady may as well start tuning up.

It all comes down to which Steelers team decides to show up on the night.

Heart says 4-3 Steelers
Head says 4-2 Devils

Mosey and Davey should be back for this, will be interesting to see the lines and who makes the roster. Barry still a doubt though.

I think we might see:

Mosey-Armstrong-Dowd
Vallerand-Polak-Latal
Feldner-Hodgman-Eberle
Whistle-ROTATE-Jono

Jones-ASD
Boruta-Ellerby
Davey-Schulze

Rok
Warburton

This would mean Sointu and Traversa scratched. Both have plenty to offer in their own game, just not sure who either would replace in the lineup. Sointu brings a goal scoring touch around the net, but overall I would prefer Whistle to keep his place as I think he is in better form and not sure if Sointu would fit into a 4th line role. Traversa could easily fit into that 4th line but again not sure who he would replace at this point, he is reliable and hard working and would be more than happy with him in there but just can't see where he fits.

Nottingham has given us a life line. It’s up to the boys now to capitalise on it. We know they can do it if they all turn up and play for 60 minutes. It doesn’t have to be pretty we just need to grind out a win.

If this isn’t a motivator for today then I don’t know what is. :hey:
