Belfast win. 5-4 through Jordan Boucher.
That’s the two meaningless exhibitions over, back to the real stuff next Saturday.

Belfast with the winner in OT & take the 2 points.
A very disappointing end to a season which at times looked to be very good.
Brush ourselves down, get rested up & go all in for the playoffs.

Two teams going through the motions. Belfast were still better at 50%.
Losing as well as winning can become a habit.
I’d be surprised if we even make the finals weekend the way we are playing at the moment.
This is NOT a classic Steelers team. 2022 has been poor all round I’m afraid.

So the part of today’s game that has got me puzzled.
A non event game, fair enough.
Why play our number 1 goalie and risk an injury? Belfast played their backup and then their backup, backup.
Valley really didn’t look his normal self. Why risk him?
I decided to watch this game, as I think games like these let you see what team character there is. Ours appears to be on the golf course.

Sorry but can't see how a game like this tells you anything about character. Result doesn't matter, Everyone avoiding injury , maybe thats the reason Vally was quiet, who knows? The first playoff will tell you more about our character, and no one will relish being drawn against us.

We all more or less a few agreed the last 2 games were nothing games in terms of results so I have absolutely nothing negative to say about 4 losses in a row.. We got threw them and I guarantee Fox saw much more from those tepid losses by his own design, then he ever did if we went all out and got wins to the detriment of players fitness etc

I hope you're right Jay, however I'm of the opinion that momentum counts for a lot in these cases also.Jayboy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 8:24 amWe all more or less a few agreed the last 2 games were nothing games in terms of results so I have absolutely nothing negative to say about 4 losses in a row..
