Personally feel like this game will go into OT, even potentially PS.

Well played Steelers, fair play to Belfast who only came with 14 skaters.

Balmas takes the MoM award after scoring THREE times in the shootout plus a goal and assist in the game.

Unfortunately due to a family emergency I missed this.

As expected a very tight game, although tracking has us at 70% to win, so probably a well deserved victory.

Who was missing for Belfast, because the game sheet has them down with 16 skaters?

My guess is this will be the first of a few titanic battles between these two teams.

The Giant$ netminder will be having Balmas shaped nightmares for a week

Having just struggled home and flopped down exhausted I am astonished at some comments on here. It was a titanic struggle all evening. We were second best for most of the first but their goal was courtesy of some eccentric refereeing looking live and at the replay. We became par in the second and probably just nicked it in the first. Not sure how they were given a 5 + game for attacking our played from behind and totally disabling him. But as I have said before this game needs more communication. Tonight many things were a complete mystery to the paying customers. Then in 3 on 3 when skill trumps brute strength we were the better team and unlucky not to score. Balmas was an absolute hero. From from being a poor game it was incredibly gripping all evening in the arena. We were outplayed all evening in the face off circle. This urgently needs attention. You can’t beat a team like Giants without the puck. If we did win a faceoff they battled it away from us far too often.

2 points and a win was the priority and thats what we got,,,,, yes they got a point but we got the win over them [16 skaters they had]. defence wise im happy no issues for me there, tansey is solid, the forward lines are not 100% clicking yet so im happy knowing there is more to come from them. And no way in a million years would i had put money on a player scoring 3 consecutive penalty shots
