I’m afraid to say that I am disgusted by the brainless idiots wearing our shirts. This is becoming a pattern game after game. Mindless indiscipline. Fox needs to get a grip of them. It isn’t cleaver and it isn’t pretty. Unfortunately we have Simms applauding it so what can you expect. Winning 6 1 and could have actually lost the game. Not acceptable.
I’ve got to agree with some others. The players taking the penalties in the 3rd are not brainless idiots. If the refs fad dealt with the dirty stick work from the Blaze our players would not have taken it into their own hands.
Blaze we’re trying to draw penalties because of their dire position and ineptitude even handed and it was working.
We've had inconsistency from officials for as long as I've been watching the Steelers. It's easier to call the retaliation than the original offence. Nico Toeman was anti Steelers and one of the Panthers fans showed which officials had penalised clubs during this tournament. About half of Hogarth's calls had been against us!

Call both (especially if similar severity), or none. Or here's a novel idea for refs. Call the initial infringement to prevent need for retaliation.
Hogarth style of refereeing as been bizarre and a puzzle in particular for a long time, he has flagrantly ignored certain rules and penalties when it suites him and litterally made stuff up on the spot the next minute and even ignored advice frome his Co on ice colleagues at times.. Especially it seems during this elite mini series.. I would love to hear him miked up for a game. That would be TV gold..
Looked to me as though Keck speared S-D before S-D decided to land a few punches. Refs didn't spot the spear.
The spearing followed S-D cross checking Keck, but I don't know what preceded the cross checking.
The Dowd one I don’t really class as bad discipline, two players going at it in netfront battle and they deal with it. Equal penalties so we weren’t short.
Saxrud-Danielsen’s was worse, especially with a suspect PK.
