I have to say, Not being there in person and now watching this memorial, I have a massive lump in my throat, and a bit or dirt in my eye...
Bit disappointing this wasn't saved for the 1st game proper tbh.

I think we came out slow and was found napping and we got what we deserved, the last 5 mins was much better, I didn't see a great deal wrong with the disallowed goal, think we deserved the Shudra goal, at 2 down we certainly not out of this... 8|

The video replays we saw show nothing concrete to overturn the goal. The stick eventually finished high after our guy took a big cross check to the back.
Mosey been good, shudra has done well. They didn't really have to work for the goals and I reckon the netminder would want a couple back.
We took over at the end of the period with our much higher intensity levels. Can we maintain it through the next two periods.
Todd being injured already is a concern. I hope he will play many games for us but he's had a poor injury status last few years.

Very similar stuff, both sides clearly still rusty with the shortened pre-season.

Lots of players at different stages. Good fitness workout with the fewer players taking extra shifts.

We’re creating though just could do with being more clinical in front of goal.

4-2 after 2.

I dont see any negatives in any of these games as yet, bar from injury status, to put it into perspective this is only the 5th period of hockey the guys have skated together.

I see lots of potential, its a real pity we didn't have 2-4 more friendly/warm up games to come, but its a fact we dont and we have to live with that.. with that in mind I see it more of an opportunity to see how the guys respond to going behind and having to fight their way back... 8)

5-3 it ends in the Panthers favour, pretty even overall. Last night it went for us, tonight it didn’t. That’s ice hockey.

Third was a bit flat with both teams tiring with early season fatigue.

Result goes as you’d expect with 5 of our signed 1st choices out for various reasons.

Two good tests in which Fox will have learned a lot.

I thought we tired in the 3rd, but that's to be expected with this being only our 2nd game and so many players missing.

I'm liking what Latal and Mosey are bringing to the table, both have really impressed me so far.

I thought the stand in netminder was far less impressive today. Hopefully Brust will be in next weekend and live up to his CV.

It's been a good workout, the proper stuff starts next weekend.

Looked reasonably good all things considered.
It'll take a couple of weeks for the absentees to get up to speed as they'll be playing catch up but we look a pretty (potentially) decent side.

Roll on next weekend.

Would add Ellerby who was understated yet generally efficient. Cole had a very decent game.
A lot of prep work and bodies needed for the Devils test next week.
Last think we need is no Hodgman, Todd and Deluca who missed the third period.
Was surprised at a couple of coach decisions. One not to put churchie in especially when Kerlin joined at the mid point, then also splitting up Eberle and Dowd in the third after they had provided most of the spark in the first two periods.

Finally would just say it was so good to be back with a more or less full barn. It's been a tough 18 months for all.

Why did we take our netminder off when scores were level?
