Think DoPS are going to be busy after tonight.

Not just Ellerby but Haas of Dundee can expect a ban coming his way I would have thought.
The worst thing about that was not one of the Giants "bigger" players even made an attempt to get at Haas.. Murphy is a small guy and should never have been the first to Hass. Had Keefe been on the ice he would have made sure he got to Haas, no matter what. At least Sheffield have some fortitude and spherical matter. Belfast players look to have been netured.
Oh yeah for sure, Keefer in his playing days would have taken exception big time. I bet he was seething on the bench mind when it unfolded.

One would assume this is the next suspension incoming, could be lengthy too unless DOPS assess the regulation 2 games they usually go for no matter the offence.

Oh dear. That will be a long ban. Although I have no sympathy for a fan that tries to get close to a ice hockey player who has the red mist descended.

Loved it when he flattened the Dundee player on his way off. Those were the days. Play on wasn’t it that in the 90’s :D  :Smiled:

Brandon McNally receives the usual 2 game ban + fine for fighting. He’s also further fined for failing to leave the ice when instructed.

Ben Lake has also been given the DOPS regulation 2 game ban + fine, this was for kneeing.

I think this "ban" merits a change of title to: "The DOPES thread".

Whilst I don’t condone it, this is the sort of ‘consistency ‘ we have come to expect fro DOPS.
The video claims minimal contact but it looks like a butt end to the chest. Could just be the angle but Brust is a big lad so to push him off balance?????
Of course there is always the possibility he is showboating.

Embarrassing over reaction by Brust with the initial dive and then reacting to a none event, perfectly happy with the reaction of it followed an actual incident
